The next Play Therapy training at Certificate level is starting in September! The weekend edition takes place in the form of 3-day sessions, during which students acquire the theoretical knowledge and the necessary therapeutic skills of Play Therapy. WHEN? : 1st session 14-15-16 October 2022; 2nd session 2-3-4 December 2022; 3rd session 20-21-22 January 2023; 4th session 17-18-19 February 2023; 5th session 10-11-12 March 2023. FOR WHO? : For professionals who have at least two years of professional experience working with children and hold a bachelor's degree or higher. The training is intended for, among others: psychologists, psychiatrists, paediatricians, psychotherapists, social workers, teachers, special educators, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists. AIMS : To enable participants to safely and effectively use therapeutic play skills in a variety of situations to provide emotional support to children aged 3 and over with mild to moderate problems. On successful completion of the course each participant will: understood the principles behind Play Therapy; demonstrated counselling, therapeutic and practical skills to deliver therapy through play; showed greater confidence in using therapeutic play in working with children and young people, including deaf children; appropriately used techniques - the Play Therapy toolkit (sandbox therapy, therapeutic storytelling, drama, dance and movement, art, clay, pastry, drawing, painting, creative visualisation, puppets, floor play, Lego, Messy Play, masks, games, water play); Have practical skills in leading therapeutic play sessions with children with a range of emotional, social, cognitive and learning needs from the age of 3; had the ability to assess children's needs and organise conditions for therapeutic play; had theoretical knowledge of child development and child psychology; had an awareness of the ethical issues involved in therapeutic work with children; had an awareness of their own process and development. LEARNING METHODS : By working with other trainees, students will be able to learn and experience the roles and responsibilities in the therapeutic relationship. Theoretical lectures will be kept to a minimum. Learning will be experiential and collaborative using pairs, group work, role play and case presentations. The main learning method is 100 hours of clinical work with children under supervision. At the recent Play Therapy International conference , held this time in Weston, UK, on 18 June 2022, Nina Ambroziak was honoured with a crystal award for her outstanding contribution to the practice and development of the Play Therapy profession ('For Outstanding Contributions to the Profession') through her voluntary and therapeutic work with Ukrainian refugee children. It is worth mentioning that this activity continues in cooperation with Play Therapy therapists in Poland and abroad. Indeed, Polish Play Therapy practitioners, through their work and commitment, have become a  model for Play Therapy therapists around the world,  i.e. wherever there are refugee children from Ukraine. Play Therapy International continues to support the work and further professional development of Polish Play Therapy therapists by providing access to Play Therapy training in working with therapy groups  so that Polish practitioners can begin therapy with groups involving Ukrainian children as soon as possible. I am extremely grateful to Play Therapy International for this award. The feeling of doing good for children and inspiring Play Therapy practitioners around the world to take action makes me happy and motivated to pursue more goals and ideas .

We are delighted to announce that our internationally certified ISO 9001:2015 quality management company has been included by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development in the Development Services Database, which allows up to 80% of the cost of Play Therapy training to be subsidised only at Play Therapy Poland . The use of development services by natural persons who reside in other voivodeships and do not conduct business activity is possible on a commercial basis, i.e. when the service is financed by the participant himself. In the remaining voivodeships, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises can benefit from funding. However, by decision of the local authorities, support will not be available to companies from the Mazowieckie and Pomorskie Voivodeships. Therefore, the application for co-financing is submitted by the employer. The operator will provide you with information on how the process of obtaining co-financing works. The subsidy must be obtained before the start of the development service. Please also note that the participant must be enrolled by BUR one day before the start of the service. Information on the Subjective Financing Systems in a given voivodship, conditions for participation and the amount of funding granted in a given region are published on the websites of the Operators, whose contacts can be found on the PARP website: https://serwis-uslugirozwojowe.parp.gov.pl/dofinansowanie. The 30th National Conference on Developmental Psychology was held at the University of Gdansk from 2-4 June 2022. Play Therapy Poland's Nina Ambroziak and Dr Katarzyna Sitnik-Warchulska, with the affiliation Play Therapy International, presented during the conference in their paper entitled. "Supporting Child Development in Non-Directive Play Therapy - Play Therapy", the results of a study conducted in a group of 30 children who participated in 12 sessions of Play Therapy short-term non-directive play therapy. The presentation raised questions about whether children's emotional, social and behavioural problems as perceived by their parents differed between the start and end of therapy, and whether there were any discrepancies, taking into account the child's gender and age, as well as the parents' formulated therapy goals. Analysis of the data obtained showed that Play Therapy's short-term non-directive therapy produced positive results in terms of emotional problems, peer contacts and in behaviour. Prevention and prevention in the area of mental health are identified as crucial during childhood and adolescence . In Poland, there is a need to implement an effective, safe and friendly form of supporting the emotional, social and mental development of early school-aged children. Play Therapy's holistic approach to child development, and thus to child therapy, offers the hope of meeting children's diverse needs, which in turn prevents, reduces or eliminates the development of psychopathology in development. The non-directive play therapy Play Therapy in the model developed by Play Therapy International is designed to prevent and support natural resources in the development of preschool and school-age children. Based on the ideas of V. Axline, referring to the concepts of D. Winnicot and C. Rogers, Play Therapy practitioners use play as a space to work through the child's difficulties, as well as to strengthen the child's natural self-regulation abilities . Supervision of the effectiveness of Play Therapy is carried out using, among other things, a system of assessment by parents using Goodman's Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ). The presentation attracted a lot of interest from the audience and the discussion after the paper confirmed the high substantive and practical value of the research presented.

The PTCert5PL students have just completed another training block: with puppets.  I love this block because puppets are amazing fun, which sometimes resembles an excellent cabaret where nobody knows how it will turn out, but everyone wants to take part :-)  I'm always curious: where do students get the ideas for their puppets? The source of their ideas is their potential, which is revealed so many times during the training that the students are amazed by their possibilities, they surprise themselves Similarly to the children in Play Therapy: they discover their potential for development themselves thanks to the presence of a non-directive Play Therapy therapist. And once they have discovered their potential, they deal with their problems themselves creatively by creating a new self-image, a true self-image because it is based on their own opinion of themselves.

On 5 July 2020, the third edition of Play Therapy training at Certificate level was completed. Play Therapy's roster of therapists has grown to include 10 more wonderful therapists, as well as wonderful people. We are keeping our fingers crossed for clinical work, supervision! We are delighted to announce that Nina Ambroziak completed her Diploma in Play Therapy trainer training on 3 August 2019 with a score of 4 x "Excellent" and 1 x "Above Average". We are currently starting to translate the textbook and complete training materials, teaching aids for Post Graduate Diploma in Play Therapy students. Training at this highest training level in Play Therapy enables you to provide in-depth non-directive therapy for children with profound disorders, as well as directive therapy both individually and with children's therapy groups. We would also like to add that Poland is the second country in Europe to train Play Therapy students at this level.

After 10 months of work related to translations, consultations on Polish conditions, data protection acts, child protection data in Poland - the Polish version of the handbook for students of the first Play Therapy Certificate in Poland has been completed. The manual runs to almost 350 pages and is a complete novelty for the therapy service. It contains a mass of practical material, forms that structure the therapist's work and meets the standards applicable to Play Therapy therapists worldwide.
